Thermal Print Hub — Privacy Policy

Thermal Print Hub (TPH), operated by CairoPOS, enables Shopify merchants to send Point of Sale receipts to their authorized Android devices and thermal printers. This notice applies to the Shopify app and its supporting print relay service.
Data we process
To connect your store, we handle the store domain, Shopify installation and API authorization records, POS location identifiers, device pairing credentials, connection status and technical delivery logs. For a print request, we temporarily process the order identifier and the receipt content provided by Shopify. Depending on the order, that content may contain product details, prices, the buyer's name or other details included on the receipt.
Why we process it
We use the data to authenticate the merchant, authorize the paired device, deliver receipt print jobs, identify printing failures and provide support. We do not use buyers' receipt data for advertising or sell buyer information to advertisers.
Storage and retention
Shopify is the source of the original order. TPH stores a temporary copy of print instructions; terminal print records are normally deleted after 90 days. Unresolved delivery records may remain until investigated or a valid erasure request is processed. Pairing records remain while authorized and can be revoked by the merchant. Installation/session records are retained for the period necessary to operate the integration and are removed as part of the store-erasure process. Operational backups follow our server backup schedule and may expire separately.
Service providers and security
The app uses Shopify's APIs and infrastructure operated by CairoPOS and its hosting providers. Data may be processed outside the merchant's country, depending on hosting and support operations. We apply HTTPS, authenticated requests, limited device credentials and access controls. No online transmission or storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your controls and privacy requests
Merchants can revoke paired devices from the Shopify app. Customer requests for access and erasure should be directed through the relevant Shopify merchant. TPH supports Shopify's mandatory data access and erasure webhooks. A merchant can obtain retained receipt data through the authenticated app. Uninstalling the app deactivates paired device access; the store-erasure process removes associated stored records.
